Classic spring action. The Kingfish are smacking the baits as quickly as you can get them out. The average size has hovered around the 12 to 15 pound mark but each day gives up a 30 to 50 pounder to one of the local boats. Some days it's mine. Blackfin Tuna are taking their time getting here. Bonita, Amberjack and Cobia rounded out the weeks bag. Sailfish were a bit quiet lately but they are still expected to make guest appearances during the next month or so. Inshore, the main action has been Jack Crevalle. Some pretty good size ones too. A few Barracuda's are beating the Jacks to the bait. The bottom is putting a quick bend in the rod for those dropping down live shrimp. Many different species too. Sea Ya, Captain Ron Mallet www.actionsportfishing.com
