The spring bite is here. Not much of a pattern but a steady pick of the species you expect this time of year. Live baiting has been great for the Sailfish, Dolphin and Kingfish in close as long as the breeze blows. The action is scattered and the water has been very clean so the breeze is helping with the presentation. We did get lucky early this week when we shot video for a new Outdoor Channel HD television show coming out this summer. The fish gods cooperated giving us perfect weather and a few Dolphin. Kingfish and Sailfish. The huge Turtle and Hammerhead shark battle should round out the action and give them enough events to make this an entertaining piece to watch. It's not too often when serious cameras are onboard and nature gives up some hot action in a day and a half, unscripted! Sea Ya, Captain Ron Mallet www.actionsportfishing.com
