The northern weather keeps teasing us but no dice. A few cool evenings helped to bring the ocean temps down and move some bait into our area. No huge run yet though. I hear they are still north a ways. We are getting into the Kingfish, Cero Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel. While drifting live baits today we did jump off a few smaller Sailfish. They were in very shallow, I guess where the bait is coming through. When good numbers of mullet come in the inlet the Jacks and Cudas are waiting. Even a few Tarpon lately. You just need to pick the lucky day, they are here one day and gone the next. As we get a few more blows from the north we will get the bait and gamefish too. This is normal and we expect it. The next few months will turn up the heat on the drags while the air temps drop. Sea Ya, Captain Ron Mallet www.actionsportfishing.com
