A new year and another chance to battle the fish of a lifetime. The winter weather is taking it's time getting here. We did have a few cold nights but it has warmed again. This means that the fish are also taking thier time to get here in large numbers. We are picking at the Sailfish, Dolphin, Kingfish and Bonita but you do need paitence and confidence that they will find your baits. The bottom fishing is giving up lots of mixed smaller fish that keep the kids busy and the inlet is holding the usual Jack Crevalles and Barracuda that jump all over live baits. As we get deeper into the winter you can expect more fish to move into the area and the bite to continue to grow. As fishing goes, you never know when the trip you take will be the trip of a lifetime. Considering the time of year, this is a great place to wait for your rod to bend.
