{%image_id=34048%}We are experiencing some pretty good action on our Ft. Lauderdale Fishing Charters the last couple of days. There have been Kingfish anywhere from 60 to 150 feet of water. As expected they are for the most part holding quite a way below the surface due to the warm water we often have here this time of year. Baits (live or dead) fished well below the surface are best. Expect to get Bonito bites as well, and they will be more willing to take a bait fished at or slightly below the surface than the Kings. Blackfins off the edge again and we had another good Wahoo in the area of those Blackfins. Live bait gets the big Blackfins while most of the smaller ones are caught trolling. They all eat well and are easily prepared for the table. We haven't done much for the Dorado as our charters have been ½ days and the Dorado that are here are further offshore, but scattered. With the Kings, Tunas, a few Wahoo and Sailfish as well as the action providing Bonito inshore action has been pretty steady. If you are looking for a good pull there are sharks just off the edge of the reef as you can see in the picture, photographed and then released is the quick photo of a fish caught by the Moon trip yesterday.
