Our offshore Ft. Lauderdale fishing charters continue to offer up Sailfish for our customers. The Kingfish are back in town as well. We had Jeff and Becky out of Miami (regulars) today aboard the Marlin My Darlin. Summer is here and the weather is great in the mornings, but we are seeing scattered showers in mid afternoon now. This will hold true for about two months now. Beautiful calm conditions offshore this morning. Lots of sun with only an occasional cloud. We began our day by trolling down the edge of the reef and the Kingfish bit well keeping Lawrence busy with running the lines. We edged out into deeper water and were rewarded with Blackfin Tunas on our surface baits. These Tunas and a King went next door to the restaurant for a fish dinner for Jeff and Becky. Lawrence has gotten very adept at cleaning these Tunas and they are really good eating. The fish of the day was once again a Sailfish. Becky got the honors on that one as Jeff, ever the gentleman, hooked it firmly and then insisted she fight the fish to the boat, which was then released.{%image_id=26659%} A nice fish approaching 7 feet in total length. Our Ft. Lauderdale fishing trips are beginning to yield some fully grown Bonito, which although are awful when it comes to edibility, are a lot of fun to catch and make for good action within a mile of the beach. There will gradually be more and more of them until we hit August, and then they will be here in droves.

Tight Lines,

Capt. John Logan
