{%image_id=31826%} Big groupers and jacks are showing up all over the Fort Lauderdale shipwrecks. Amberjacks and almaco jacks are biting really good and provide good action while live baiting around the wrecks. Amberjacks rarely let a bait go past them, eating them on the way down or as soon as it hits the bottom. They are very aggressive fish. If a bait does get past the AJs, there are some really nice groupers sitting down there on the bottom. This monster warsaw grouper was one of them and there are also some black groupers, reds, gags and scamp groupers down there. Warsaws are by far the biggest of the groupers we're catching. {%image_id=31827%} Kingfish are also starting to make their presence known. Just a few flurries of kingfish have come through, but this is how it begins every year in Ft Lauderdale. First, a few kingfish schools to start and then soon they will be everywhere on the reef. Right now, trolling and live baiting are the best fishing techniques to catch action. Get ready for some awesome mahi-mahi fishing coming up later this month. Until then, tight lines and good fishing. Capt. Paul Roydhouse www.fishheadquarters.com 754-214-7863 {%image_id=31828%}
