Wow summer always gets here too quick. However it hasn't bothered Fort Lauderdale's fishing a bit. From June through August you can expect pretty much the same action on fish. Lots of kingfish, lots of bonitas an occasional sail, a few sharks and some mahi mahi. WHile in the winter months we mostly live bait summer months bring a little more trolling, not that live bait won't work it's just too hot to sit still. Here on the Local Knowledge 954 522 4773 we have been keeping the boxes full of bonitas and kings and we've been very fortunate with the mahi mahi as well. Finding floating debris is the key to this fishery, find the junk find the fish. We fished Jd and Mimi from Maryland for three days and crushed the mahi's everyday as well as a couple wahoos. Bottom fishing has been pretty productive as well with lots of vermillion snappers a few warsaw groupers and some amberjacks.
