February 18, 2014 Jacob from Texas joined us this morning in hopes of catching a big fish. By big fish, I mean a shark. It was a long six hour trip that only produced one bite, but that's all we needed. Jacob got to lock horns with a monster greater hammerhead shark. It took Jacob fifty minutes to get the fish, estimated at 400 pounds., to the boat. John from Boston and his two sons joined us for a 2-6 pm trip. John has a 38 foot Wesmac sportfishing boat up in Boston that he uses for tuna fishing. He had heard about the Lady Pamela II through a friend, so he decided to give us a try. The LP II crew showed John a stellar afternoon of fishing. We started out my catching a hammerhead shark. Then we hooked into a six foot tiger shark. This rare shark was our second one this week! The tiger shark battle was out in 500 feet of water, and while the fight was on we still had kites flying and baits in the water. Darned if we didn't have two sailfish hit those baits! We got both the shark and the sailfish doubleheader to round out a marvelous trip. Tight Lines, Capt. David Ide Lady Pamela 2 Sport Fishing 954-761-8045 [email protected]
