{%image_id=56682%} There's a nice sailfish bite happening in Fort Lauderdale right now. Sailfish Alley is all lit up with sailfish. They are feeding on the ballyhoo and flying fish that are stacked up there right now. A lot of the sailfish we are catching are smaller ones. The smaller sailfish always show up first, just before the explosion of the big, trophy sailfish slam we get every December. Still waiting on the cold fronts to start coming through. They really get the sailfish active and biting good. This week, we've caught nearly 20 sailfish on our fishing charters among our 3 boats. Not slamming them yet, but still a strong bite on them. We've had one very weak cold front come through this year so far. I am looking forward to going out and doing some kite fishing the first time it gets chilly. If you want to catch a good number of sailfish, and have the best chances, schedule a fishing charter for when you see the temperature drop to below 70 degree high for the day. This means it is super cold for Florida and it will probably be one of the hottest days of the year to catch sailfish. We don't get many cold fronts that come through Florida that get the high of the day below 70. If you see one, jump on it. Good luck to everyone fishing Ft Lauderdale this week. Tight Lines and good fishing! Capt. Rod Roydhouse 954-707-2147 www.NewLattitude.com {%image_id=56680%}
