Sailfish Season Is Here!

{%image_id=56485%} November is the first GREAT month for sailfishing here in Fort Lauderdale. Yes, they are usually here decently in September and October but November is the first month of really awesome sailfishing. This is the time of year that the cooler winds come through and sailfish really like the cooler temperatures. It gets them to come up to the top water column and actively feed. We get a lot of sardines and ballyhoo come through this time of year too, which also brings the sailfish. At New Lattitude Sportfishing, we specialize in big game fishing trips. Sailfish are one of our largest and most sought after gamefish here in Fort Lauderdale, so we spend a lot of time over the next few months fishing for them. This is one of my favorite times of year because sailfish are so cool to catch and fun! The jumps that they do are truly majestic and there's no high in the world to match the thrill of catching a sailfish going crazy behind the boat.
