Summertime Fort Lauderdale fishing

April 20 24, 2014 The fishing has been phenomenal this week with lots of blackfin tunas on the troll, as well as a few mahi-mahi, and wahoo. The shark bite continues, with both a nice Mako and a thresher hooked up on Sunday. On Monday we hooked up two hammerheads. {%image_id=37846%} A good friend of mine, Karina, chartered the boat for a full day on the 23rd for live bait fishing. We caught several kings up to 40 pounds and a big hammerhead shark. We also bottomfished and got into the groupers, catching and releasing reds, gags and blacks.
