October 13, 2015 The first part of this month is famous for Oktoberfest in Germany, but here in Fort Lauderdale I am officially renaming it Oktoberfish, because the fishing has been so good. The king mackerel fishing on the troll is the best I've seen in probably 10 years. Yesterday morning the Lady Pamela II boated 14 keeper king mackerel, with 20 kings caught overall. On top of that, we had five shots on sailfish on the troll, with two hookups! {%image_id=45478%} Out in deeper water, off the reef, we have seen a nice variety of big game sharks. We got a big bull shark and a hammerhead two days ago. And yesterday afternoon we hooked up about a 7 foot tiger shark. For those interested in a longer charter, the daytime swordfishing has produced a few fish up to 300 pounds. The Lady Pamela weekly dolphin trip yielded fish ranging 8 to 20 pounds caught along the Gulf Stream edge between 5 and 10 miles offshore. So, who wants to go October fishing? We'll provide the tackle, you provide the beer, and let's go catch some fish! {%image_id=45477%} {%image_id=45479%} {%image_id=45476%} Tight Lines, Capt.
