{%image_id=62031%} The sailfish have really turned on in south Florida this week. The cold front definitely was a big part of it, but we're also in the peak season of the year for them too. Today we caught 2 sailfish in the first hour of our afternoon trip trolling some rigged ballyhoo in 120-150ft of water. We were going mostly for kingfish and possible mahi-mahi as they were biting on the morning trip, but it's always a nice surprise when a sailfish jumps on the line. Sailfish are one of the most exciting fish to catch. When they first bite, they start jumping right away and put on an aerial display the entire fight. Sails are known as the ballerina of the sea. It's great to see them biting so well this year. I hope the chilly weather hangs around for a little while so that sailfish bite stays strong. Good luck out there on the water everyone. I'll sea ya on the water. Capt. Rod Roydhouse www.NewLattitude.com 954-707-2147 {%image_id=62030%}
