Tunas and Mahi off Port Everglades
Fort Lauderdale, florida

The song remains the same: more tuna, skipjack, bonito and mahi this week. On Thursday morning, Daniel Guerin, of Montreal, and his friends had a blast on small spinning rods with jigs. We got shot out of Port Everglades Inlet and immediately saw bird activity in 450' and wasted no time in getting there. When we arrived the area was boiling with "football" blackfin tunas. The next 90 minutes proved fast and furious as we landed approximately 24 blackfin tuna, 6 good size skipjack tuna and 6 bonito. {%image_id=35812%} Later, when the action slowed, we moved inshore to the steeple in-between 200' to 100' and finished the morning with 6 mahi that readily ate the live pilchards we were offering. Awesome morning trip! {%image_id=35813%} {%image_id=35814%} Capt. Mario Cote No Vacansea Sportfishing www.novacansea.com 954-632-9340
