Wahoo! Kingfish Galore! Reel Appeal!!

We got a jump on the other boats this morning leaving out at 7am. There wasn't much current except for a small trickle of north. Our charterers were old high school buddies that have kept in touch all these years. They have been meeting up every year around this same time but this is the first time they have all agreed to go fishing. As soon as we left the jetties in 50 feet of water first bait into the water we got an insta- bite! We pulled up a 40 pound Wahoo to start off the catching! The action was pretty much nonstop the whole trip. Between 100 - 170 feet of water we ended up with 22 kingfish of which 16 were keepers.{%image_id=22678%} That's some pretty good catching for a 4 hour private charter especially this time of year. The charterers were extremely happy with their catch and thanked Captain Kunta and Big Dan "The Danimal" for their experience of a lifetime that they'll never forget telling their friends and family all about it.
