{%image_id=34793%}{%image_id=34794%}August 18, 2013 The seas have been relatively calm this weekend, but today we had another couple of kids get seasick on the Pamela. We had Scott and his family from NY on board, and at 9:00 am we left the dock and started trolling. We had just caught one kingfish when the girls started to get seasick so we ran in and dropped them off at the pier and ran back out. There was an awesome edge in 70 feet of water that was a sharp blue/green. It looked very good for sailfishing so we sat there for a brief 15 minutes before a sailfish popped up on the right short line. The fish didn't eat, but swam to the left short and we hooked him up. Of course wouldn't you know it, while fighting this sailfish a sailboat race came right through our fishing zone! We're fighting this sailfish and there are sailboats off our bow and stern almost running our fish over! To add to the drama, while all this mayhem is going on, another sailfish swam up to the boat, so I pitched another bait to it. He took the pitch and all of a sudden we had a double header. We got both fish to the boat, despite the sailboats. What a great day for sailfishing! Tight Lines, Capt. David Ide Lady Pamela 2 Sport Fishing 954-761-8045 [email protected]
