If you've been waiting to go fishing until the weather cooled of than don't wait any longer. Lower 60's at night and clear skies are bringing water temps down and the fishing is absolutely outstanding. The redfish are roaming just about everywhere and they are really hitting topwater with a vengeance at first light. In addition the trout are also willing to hit topwater. You can have a memorable 1 or two hours before the topwater bite slows. Then grab a jig or a popping cork and a gulp shrimp and keep on fishing. This coming week (Oct 20th) could very well be the peak of the fall bite. Don't forget that the new moon is just about here and that is always the best night fishing. Get out there and enjoy!
