The fishing is getting better as the fish have adapted to the dirty water conditions caused by the negative tides as I mentioned in my last report. The key to is to slow your retrieve way down so the fish have a chance to see it. Had some clients from Ft Lauderdale yesterday and they had a great time catching lots of trout and a few ladyfish. The trout were mostly 13" to 14 3/4" inches. Anyone with experience in slot managed fisheries knows that they don't work. When someone catches a trout that measures 15" they keep it because they can, even though they may want to release it. A lower minimum and a reduced bag limit would benefit our trout fishery immensely as it has in other areas. Everything yesterday came on an 1/8oz jig with a 3" gulp shrimp just hopped along the bottom on the flats. Get our and enjoy this weather while you can, its hard to beat a nice breeze and mid 70's.

Tight Lines,

Capt. Eric Anderson
