Fort Myers Inshore Tarpon Bite Is Outstanding

The Tarpon fishing in the Fort Myers Beach and the Estero Bay backcountry has been awesome for the last two weeks. I have been guiding fly fisherman nearly every day and everyone has had multiple hook-ups per trip. My clients have had steady action on rolling and busting Tarpon from first light until about 9:30am. The Tarpon are from 30" to about 50" and while they are very picky about what they will hit, my glass minnow flies have been working great. The Tarpon fishing will only get better when the summer rains come. The brackish water will pull in fish from Estero bay and the beaches. When this happens there can be some truly epic days on the water. I'll keep the reports coming, and I'm starting to fish the beaches now that the summer weather pattern is finally here. More great Fly Fishing and light tackle action for Tarpon on the way. {%image_id=38701%} Conner T. with his very first Tarpon and he caught it on a Fly Rod. Nice Job Conner!
