Silver Kings Rule the House Greetings, This report is one about one kind of fish. Tarpon! It’s been awesome for a month and more. Many days it’s the first bait in the water and a hookup. Amazing fishing for sure and we have enjoyed it completely. From Naples to Sanibel Island it’s been consistent but especially along Ft. Myers Beach. Depths from ten feet out to twenty-five feet with lots of rolling and free jumping fish to mark the spot. We have hooked more doubles and triples than ever before, very exciting fishing. Threadfin’s, pinfish, and big scaled sardines, and crabs have worked well shot gunning to pods of fish or drifting is scattered rollers. Mackerel, catfish, mullet, and cut threads have produced lots of bottom action when anchored. Along with lots of fish there are some VERY large tarpon in the area. We released on fish 87x58 making it over three hundred pounds! At times the fish are gathered up in big muds, which seem to have been created by rays. These fish are more stationary, and anchoring can bring multiple strikes quickly. Sincerely, Capt. Rick Featherstone
