Sunday (today) was on fire. My charter customers were hurling one minute and catching +26" Grouper the next moment. Wind direction is so important. The worst direction is onshore. The best is offshore. Today was offshore but the fish were beyond 30FT therefore the land masses were not protecting like at 25FT. And yes 5 feet makes all the difference in the world. At 0730, winds were 10-15. By 1000, winds were 15-25. The action was fast and furious (so was the hurling over the side. Looked to me like Eggs Benedict and a waste of $10.00) Few of our grouper were less than 24". All the action was over by 1100 as the winds went to 25MPH. We limited out on Red and Gag Grouper. Big Lip Lures. Manns Stretch 25 in PINK.
