Inshore: Action has been very good with redfish the top target. Simple patterns, cut bait, shrimp and scented softies are all working well. It's hot as Hades by midday so think like a fish and run for cover or the creek mouths, it's a matter of "silk degrees" between success and failure. The trout bites is pretty good from all reports, look to the deeper flats near channels and get on the specks early. Soaking in the potholes and slow presentation are the drop-back patterns, moving water as usual is the key. Don't be surprised if you catch a red, flounder or mess a snappers. Sharks are everywhere on the flats, try a "red rag" fly, mullet head or bait strip, just for fun. Midday action is good in the rivers and feeder creeks, cooler water, water movement, lots a shade and structures. The Estero River is full of snappers on the many docks, this is typical of the region, good easy stuff with frozen shrimp. Snook are active in the same areas. Night bites are particularly good, live shrimp, shiners and pins about guarantee a hook up, bring bug dope! {%image_id=43959%} Typical creek snook, good stuff! Capt.
