Title this fishing report "Returning to Normal" except our Bait Situation. Only small strains of Red Tide remain and if you happen through it, SAY-LA-VEE to all your bait. Sunday (Aug 13th) was a good day in Pine Island Sound. Everyone has been waiting for the Redfish to arrive. On Sunday our bait (Cut Ladyfish) produces 4-5 Redfish within 1/2 Mile of DEMERE KEY. All fish were on the samll side. 18-21" but all were very fat and healthy. Snook are back on the beach (Sanibel/Captiva/Cayo) Perhaps the hottest thing going right now inshore are large Mangrove Snapper. I have a Permit Trip tomorrow and hope to have a good report for you.
