Happy Holidays to all except Mark Foley. He is responsible for bringing masses amounts of freshwater to SW FL and killing our nearshore reefs. For the past 2 years our Grouper Trolling has been a total bust. Where all the freshwater goes should be a major focus before Gov Bush leaves office. The runoffs have raped our reefs of coral and all things living. Redfish: Extreme low tides are a blessing for those who understand where redfish go. Pine Island Sound on the first of the "Incoming" has been on fire. Try cut ladyfish or big live shrimp. Snook: There are some monsters moving into the residential canals. Trolling Yo-Zuri Tobi-Muru lures in and around St James City has been on fire. It amazes me that I'm the only one I ever see doing this style of fishing. Goliath Grouper: Little guys of 50-60LBS are in the canals. Pinfish in and around docks will produce a real RUMBLE. Bonita: Go "Nearshore" (within sight of land as GiddyUp has nada to do with Offshore) and huge schools of Bonita are there for the taking. Grilled, they are awesome with that special Japanese sause that I'm not going to attempt to spell. GiddyUp!
