Spring Fishing In Full Swing!

Greetings everyone, I am very pleased to say that spring fishing here in Southwest Florida is has started very nicely thank you. Inshore / Backcountry water temps have reached seventy two degrees. Snook, Jacks, and Trout have all been active in and around the mid bay islands of Estero Bay. Baby Tarpon have started to roll in the creeks, nice sized Jacks are roaming around the flats like packs of wolfs tearing up anything in there path. We have been on mostly artificial lure trips lately and scoring well on the moving tides with gold spoons and Skitterwalks. Offshore / Deep Sea trips have really sprang to life this last week. After a long winter of mostly reef fishing that has been the best I can remember for grouper and snapper our local sheephead bite is in full swing. Excellent fish from fifteen to twenty one inches were taken this week on every trip. Big cudas, cobia, permit were all caught this week. The first kingfish of the year were caught yesterday. Clear water, calm seas, bright sunshine have made this past week one for the Chamber of Commerce to brag about. Sincerely, Capt. Rick
