Above normal morning low temperatures have helped keep the water warm (73-74)and the local Tarpon are still active at night! By the afternoon yesterday the surface temp was up to 76.3 degrees. We have been seeing several schools of active Tarpon every night for the last week and they are hitting Topwater and flies. Here is Stuart K. with his very first Tarpon that he caught on a fly rod using a glass minnow fly. {%image_id=46188%} The redfish bite continues to be good if you can hit the tide right. The best fishing has been mangrove shorelines at high tide Look for trout on the flats, especially at night since the best tides have been just after dark. Its easy fishing just quietly cover the flat with a twitch bait or a topwater and you'll find a school in short order. Then anchor and have fun, you will get bonus Redfish, jacks, and ladyfish.
