Whatever You Want Estero Bay Has It

This is the time of year when everything comes alive and is ready to eat! I have spent the last few days fishing the juvenile tarpon around the bridges in Estero bay. They can be very tricky to catch and the key is getting your bait down in front of their faces. Pinfish work as well as pilchards for them. Around the same places there are some schools of very large Jack Crevalle in the 15-20lb range, if you hook in to one of these "Canal Tuna" you will know it! Snook is what everyone will be targeting since it is opening day on the 1st, and they can be found crashing on schools of small bait near the passes. Reds are almost to the point where they will school up on the flats but not quite there yet. Look for them on the high tides near the bushes. This weekend should be extremely busy on the water so remember your "manners" when fishing and please pay attention when you're out there! www.fishingchartersfortmyersfl.com 941-677-FISH
