INSHORE - Inshore fishing has been good all week even though we have had some pretty good wind. There has been good snook action before daylight around the Turning Basin area and the North Bridge. Pinfish or large shrimp seemed to be the ticket. During the day the snook are coming from the Inlet and the number one bait to use was mullet. And for the anglers who throw feathers the rock line around the South Bridge and the Turning Basin is the place to go with a red tail hawk. Trout fishing has been red hot with fish to 8 pounds reported to the South around the Bear Cove and Little Mud Creek areas. A rubber jerk worm was the number one producer of trout this past week. The number two thing was about a foot of water and fish the sandy pockets. And last but not least, there are STILL plenty of sheephead, sand perch and a few flounder being caught on the catwalks of the South Bridge. SURF - The surf fishing has also been good for whiting. The red hot spot this past week has been the area around Blind Creek from daylight until about 9:00am. Until next week, good fishing!
