Fishing Report for Ft. Pierce, Florida

Inshore fishing this past week has been tough for most anglers with all the wind and RAIN! I did have a few reports from the first part of the week about nice sized trout coming from the area around Harbor Branch. Live shrimp or a pigfish were the baits to use. The snapper bite continues to be very active along the channel edges and around the docks in Ft. Pierce. Small live shrimp have been the bait of choice for the snapper. There are still a few flounder on the flats to the south of the South Bridge in Ft. Pierce. A live shrimp and a trol-rite hook will land one of these fish. There have been a couple of catch and release snook reported around Taylor Creek. With all the rain the spillway had been flowing and the snook have been active. If you go to Taylor Creek try using a live mullet or a shinner. Until next week, try to stay dry. Capt. Joe Ward Inshore Fishing Guide
