Fishing Report for Ft. Pierce, Florida

The fishing in the Ft. Pierce area has slowed down due to the cold weather and high winds that we have had this past week. The cold weather has sent the fish into the deep waters. For the few brave souls that did go fishing they were lucky enough to catch a few sheephead, black drum and sandperch off the catwalk of the South bridge and behind the library. The anglers I talked to used live shrimp. One thing I can say is that snook season reopens on February 1st. and I think this season is going to be a good one. You should use this down time to do maintenance on your fishing equipment. You would hate it if you had a monster snook on and you lost it because you did not replace the drag washers or change the line on your reel. Hopefully next week I will have a much better report and can say that we got our limit of snook on the 4 charters I have scheduled for next week. Until next week, Good Fishing! Capt. Joe Ward
