THe inshore fishing this past week has been good except for Wednesday when the bite was very slow. I had 4 charters this week and each one we got our limit of fish. TROUT - Most of the trout caught this week were to the South around the Bear Cove area. Live shrimp and a popping cork was best early in the morning and late in the afternoon. In the mid day a root beer cotee' jig in 3 to 5 feet of water was the best bet. On Tuesday we got our limit of trout to 7 pounds. SNOOK - The Turning Basin had given up most of the snook action this week. The early morning bite has been the best when using live shrimp. At night live pinfish did a great job to land 3 fish to 23 pounds with a red tail hawk coimg in a close second as the best bait. SNAPPER & SHEEPHEAD - These fish have been plentiful on the channel edges and around the docks. My favorite spot is the last dock at the City Marina where we caught snapper to 3 pounds on two days this week. We were using regular size live shrimp. We also got our limit at the North Bridge. WHITING, POMPANO & JACKS - The surf on both the North and South beaches has been plentiful with these fish. Fresh dead shrimp or live sand fleas are the best abit to us right now. Until next week, Good Fishing
