First of all I would like to say "SORRY" for this report being a few days late. My wife, Cammie, and myself took a much needed vacation. We went on a fishing vacation ( ha ha) to Titusville. Not much wonder they all say that Titusville is the redfish captial. We caught our fair of reds and also a few nice trout. SNOOK - The catch and release snook have been up in Taylor Creek and at the Ft. Pierce Inlet. Live mullet has been the bait of choice. TROUT - Pigfish have been the answer for the big trout. This is working best when fished in 3 feet of water under a popping cork. I did get one report of a 8 pounder being caught at the Moorings. SNAPPER - The Ft. Pierce Inlet and the channel edges in the intercoastal have been producing a good number of nice size snapper. Live shrimp have been the bait of choice. TRIPLETAIL - The tripletail are still around the channel markers and at the buoys. My wife, Cammie, caught a 16.6 pounder last Sunday morning. She was using large live shrimp.
