Fishing gone wild… Just about all fishing is great if you understand the weather patterns that fall deals us. Try to fish before the cold fronts. Of course fish when you can is the best policy. I believe the best time to fish is before the fronts as the fish prepare for possible long stays of bad weather. As in Mother Nature any living creature does not want to be uncomfortable rocking against structures where they live. Inshore fishing is hit and miss… The fish hits… you set the hook and miss it…. I truly hope you're smiling "LOL" With that being said I have been catching keeper grouper in less than ten feet of water. The Jacks are everywhere along with ladyfish and juvenile snook. I have been doing a lot of fly fishing at this time of year even catching myself in the head…That's another story some other day. Offshore fishing is surprisingly very good again before the fronts. Another reason most people do not fish after fronts pass by… the wind usually gets breezy. If you get a chance to go grouper fishing in my area eighteen foot to thirty foot is the magic depth of water. Bonita and mackerel are passing by while fishing at anchor.
