Holliday Grouper fishing in Hernando Beach Gulf Grouper Fishing Report 7 Dec 2007 Grouper fishing has been great for a while and is still going strong. Thanks to the good weather we have been able to fish many days in a row. Most of the bigger Grouper seem to be in 25 feet of water and beyond. This does not mean there are no large Grouper in close. I am certain there are big fish in all depths; however there is an overwhelming amount of short fish in the shallower waters. So many, that you can go through 25 pounds of bait in 2 hours and never see a keeper size fish. The grunts are on most rock piles and are of good size. Where there are grunts there are always Grouper. We have been catching plenty of Mangrove Snapper along with the Grunts and Grouper. I have seen some kingfish action. Most of the Kings are in 40 feet or more where the schools of bait are near the surface. The bait and Kingfish are working there way south. Good fishing, Capt Rick Rodriguez 727-992-9494 gulfgrouper.com
