Fishing Report for Homosassa, Florida
Homosassa, florida

Fishing in Homosassa has improved but has been a roller coaster in bites vs. no bites. Redfish are here but kind of sluggish. Trout are biting as the recent high tides have put them in close to shore. Water temp was around 63 degrees. 10 more degrees up and the fish will go into a feeding frenzy. Mackerel are chewing offshore in about 10 feet of water from Marker 4. A few nice big seatrout and bluefish are mixed in. A big 6 foot shark came up to our chum bag. The grouper are tearing up the big lipped lures like Mirrolure, Mann's Stretch 30 and Magnum Rapala CD-18-MAG. 40 feet of water is what everyone is saying. The Wilson Company had a great trip on Friday as we won the honors with Chris Bowers catching the largest redfish at 28 inches and Tina Wells catching the most keepers. You want to look at an awesome web site. Copy this URL with your mouse. http://www.geocities.com/jabomano/kap_home.html Got to get ready for my charter. Go fishing if you can because it is gooood fer ya!
Tight Lines,
Capt. Mike Locklear
