Pleasant Skies for Easter This past week has been very productive in both trout and redfish catches. As I write this a cold front is coming in with temperatures in the low 50’s. My nephew and I fished for fun and took a local boy along, Howard Kellogg. On Tuesday, we left around 3pm to catch the incoming tides and in short order caught a keeper redfish each, all on shrimp. I wanted to take some reds with me to Lakeland for Lee and Julia Phillips of Central Florida Trolling Motors. An unusual catch was when the boys and I spotted several corks in excellent condition hung up in the rocks along the shore line. We retrieved a total of 4, 2 Cajun Thunder and 2 Greedy Guts. Also, a MirrOlure was spotted and retrieved. That was like finding a $20 dollar bill! Wednesday, I traveled to Lakeland and took the reds we caught and gave them to Mike and his wife. It was a good trade as I really needed my trolling motor to aid in positioning the huge 24’ skiff to redfish. Look for this weekend to be a pleasant but windy. A bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work. Have a Great Easter Weekend! Jesus has Risen!

Tight Lines,
