This is the fishing report of the father and son team of SkinsandFinsCharters. Well lets get to it! Down in the Florida Keys and the everglades park during July and through August, we are experiencing extreme tides. This allows us to get into some new areas to find the fish. The snapper spawn is in it's prime. Producing fish from 10 to 20 inches. In the everglades we are finding trout in the channels and run offs. Using popping corks we drift the edges looking for these fun fighting fish. Along the trees and deep holes, we are finding redfish, snook, black drum, and big sharks! Using a D.O.A. hook tipped with shrimp we drop down during the slack and wait too hook up with these monster fish! While flats fishing in the cleaner water of the Keys, the bonefish and a few of the bigger tarpon are still lurking around. The preferred bait is a quarter size blue crab, on a weightless hook. The flats in the everglades are producing big redfish and a good bight of snook. Early in the mornings before it gets too hot we are also seeing some baby tarpon tailing along the channels and trees. Want to give it a try? Check out our website @ SkinsandFinsCharters.com till then this is Capt Donnie and Ted Benbow asking you too keep it in the shallow grass.
