All of last week and the 4th of July weekend the Mahi Mahi bite offshore is almost guaranteed. The fish have been out a good distance. At least 15 miles out till we start to see steady action under birds. The current is moving and so are the fish. The deep drop has been successful as far as Tile fishing and snowy grouper are concerned. The Tuna are starting to show up at the Humps in bigger numbers. For Mahi, rigged ballyhoo has been the preference. For Tuna, a small squid skirt or feather works great at low speed.
