Islamorada Sea Horse Sport Fishing Report The Mahi are here and easy to catch just outside the reef and beyond. Mahi are a great sport fish commonly known as Dolphin. They are great to eat and a lot of fun to catch. If you are looking for a great time to go fishing now is the time here in Islamorada. Big Mahi and schooling size are migrating through our area. Live bait or dead bait it really does not matter when you find them in great numbers. Along with the Mahi there are Tunas, Wahoo, and some bill fish. On the reef the Yellow Tail snapper are starting to spawn. So many Yellow Tail are around the area reefs; many anglers are catching a limit quickly and moving off shore to catch Mahi.
