Islamorada Sea Horse Offshore Report

The objective yesterday was to catch good eating fish. We went deep drop fishing around some of the deeper reefs off Islamorada. We caught Vermillion and Silk Snappers. The anglers were happy and had a few gallon bags of fillets . Along the reef Sailfish action was a little slow. We look forward to the next cold front to push a few more fish our way. Yellow tail Snapper fishing has been good when the current has moved in a favorable direction. The hump has had some tunas activity. We are waiting for the conditions to improve. When the gulf stream current pushes over the hump creating an upwelling the tunas will probably accumulate.
