King Fish Bite is On in Islamorada

Kingfish have been steadily biting off Conch Reef, a little push north from Whale Harbor Inlet. We get good action when fishing with Cigar Minnows.Make sure to use wire leaders but not to thick. Circle hooks work well with 4 wire. We start the drift at about 180ft of depth and shortly after baits in, they strike. It dies again when we reach 135ft. That is assuming you are drifting towards the west. When the bite slows just reposition the drift where you started. If you get no bites try again but in another line. dont drift the same line if you didn't get any bites. The fish are there and hungry.
