Yellow tail snapper are cooperating well around the deeper reefs. 100 feet of water the bigger flags are rising to the surface eating almost any bait. The best bait lately has been shrimp, and the dark red meat of bonita. Chunks of ramorra are a local favorite that has been catching yellow tails also. The Hump has the Jacks, but the sharks won't let you land them. It is a jungle down deep on the hump. Gigantic tiger sharks have been eating 80 pound jacks whole. It is a helpless feeling when you hook a great fish and loose it to the sharks 30 seconds into the fight.
