Tarpon Tarpon Tarpon!!!

Well the Tarpon are in and it has been non-stop catching! Night trips are the way to go though if you truly want to catch a tarpon. They feed more frequently during the night near the bridges. We spend our time drifting back and forth through the piling and WHAM we got one, two, three sometimes up to 10 a night. One thing I just have to say is DO NOT SET THE HOOK LIKE A BASS!!!! This is the hardest thing for people not to do. It is such a reaction that we loose more than we catch. If you try to set the hook then you will certianly pull the bait right out of the tarpon's mouth! There is nothing worse than loosing a huge tarpon and not getting another chance!
