We have been as busy as all could be down here in the sportfishing capital of the world. I can personally atest to the fact that reef fishing has never been better. We have been catching our limit on every trip of both Mangrove and Yellowtail snapper. Sailfish have also been pushing through these local reefs. Best of both worlds. Not much ballyhoo but pilchards off the kites ha e worked excellent for the sails and yellow jig hooks with any bait has been perfect for the snapper although Mangroves prefer ballyhoo. Make sure and chum alot to make sure and bring the fish closer to the boat. Mahi Mahi have begun to show up with a few here and there also a very slow tuna bite these last few days. The amberjack have been easy to hook up but could prove difficult to get passed the sharks.
