The fishing has been a little slow in the backcountry. Its been taking a little more time to locate the fish. We been finding them in the deeper water. The temperature must be more to their liking. However, there been a nice school of trout around nest key. Look for the mud from the mullet. Last week there were trout there to over 20 inches. On the oceanside, the dolphin fishing is slow, but the blackfin tuna have showed up on the humps. Small feathers and black worms are the ticket for the smaller fish, but live bait takes the bigger ones. The reef is still good when the conditions are right. 15 inch yellowtails snappers dominate the catch but last week we had some nice mangrove snappers come into our slick for about half an hour. book a fishing trip with a FULL time pro. call 1-800-320-2753 CAPT IZZY
