Fishing for Sailfish is poor. The small kings are still biting good. The bait of choice is a small jig tipped with a shrimp. Over the past week, the bottom bite for grouper was good. The fish were in 65 to 90 foot of water. Yellowtail snappers fishing is ok, the better catches seem to be in 30 to 50 feet of water. The best bet is deep dropping for yellow eye and vermilion snapper. 275 to 300 foot of water been producing best. The shallow water fishing is still producing good catches of Spanish mackerel in the gulf. Nice size trout are biting good in 3 to 5 foot of water. A live shrimp under a popping cork is working best. We are still catching 1 to 3 pound mangrove snappers on the rocky bottom in the gulf. Book a trip with a full time pro, Call 1-800-320-2753. Izzy
