Cold is ok, windy knot

We're used to cold in the winter and I happen to like it, because unlike the summer you can only take off so much clothing to stay cool. I can always add another layer. Now the wind is another thing, I have a PowerPole and believe me it's great in windy conditions, but 20-30mph @ 38 degrees, well you get the picture. Redfish remain the staple inshore along with the convict fish,(aka sheepshead)however bait has been the problem with tackle shops having sporatic luck keeping bait in stock. This time of year you can throw artificials and do just as good as live bait most times. With jigs and grub bodies, neutral and sinking mirrolures, and topwater. Slow is the name of the game here. Good luck and stay warm!
