Fishing Jacksonville & Mayport

The kingfish are here! Offshore/Nearshore - 21 May 2006 Well it finally happened.............Bait and fish all over the inshore wrecks! We fished inside of 20 miles yesterday and had a bonanza! Bait pods on the surface, loggerhead turtles and humungous leatherback turtles all over the place. We had kings, Bonito and barracuda. They were hitting surface baits and deep baits. There were also a lot of flying fish.. I was really expecting to pick up some dolphin , but it just did'nt happen. I had Bill K and his son Billy on the boat, and they had a ball! Its time to troll the wrecks and reefs, as spring kingfihing is normally off the chart. And if yesterday was an indicator it will be an awesome trolling season.
