Gator City Trout

Fishing has been fantastic for big Speckled Trout. The best results have come from throwing topwater plugs along docks and rock stucture in the St Johns River. Late afternoon and evening hours seem to be prime times. I have found the bigger specks in area's with heavy current, such as Whiteshell rocks and Dames Point. {%image_id=6416%} {%image_id=6419%} Flounder have started there fall run. Mayport has been holding lot's of small flounder with a few bigger ones mixed in. The large doormats should show up any day, especially as the water temps drop. {%image_id=6418%} {%image_id=6417%}
